Outreach

Echonance extends beyond the festival days through a growing network of artistic exchanges, collaborations, and educational initiatives. Conceived as an ongoing platform rather than a series of isolated events, the festival fosters lasting relationships with artists, ensembles, institutions, and audiences, creating opportunities for ideas and practices to evolve. Echonance seeks not only to present music but also to cultivate a vibrant community of listening, exchange, and curiosity.

Partnerships

In recent years, Echonance has contributed to the circulation of artists and artistic projects across diverse cultural contexts, fostering encounters that extend beyond national borders through collaborations with the AngelicA and Musica in Prossimità festivals in Italy. These partnerships create opportunities for artists and works to reach new audiences while strengthening a wider network of organizations committed to experimental music.

Collaborations

Long-term collaborations with ensembles have become another defining aspect of the festival’s activities. Together with the ONCEIM (France), Echonance co-produces newly commissioned works, including projects by Christina Kubisch and Chiyoko Szlavnics. In partnership with the Maurice Quartet (Italy), the festival has commissioned music by Gabriel Paiuk and will continue this collaboration with a new work by Clara Levy, premiere in 2027.

Editions

Echonance also maintains an ongoing collaboration with Unsounds Records, through which selected festival commissions are released each year, allowing these works to continue their life beyond the concert hall. Recent releases include music by Phill Niblock, Gabriel Paiuk, and Arnold Dreyblatt.

Education

Education forms another essential dimension of Echonance. Workshops organized in collaboration with the Royal Conservatoire The Hague bring students into direct contact with composers and performers invited to the festival, creating an environment in which artistic knowledge is shared through practice, experimentation, and dialogue.
